Are you going to Paris? Trekking in Nepal? Cruising the Caribbean? Yes, you want to go and to spend some time enjoying the wonderful weather, view and just have a rest from everyday routine.

Whether you tramp through the rain forest or bask on a love boat-travel presents new and different health concerns mostly unknown at home.

We do not want to set on you with our lectures just, please, keep in mind some facts – that will be useful for you.Preparing before you go is the best way to stay healthy while you’re traveling. See a doctor at least 6 weeks before you leave so that you’ll have time for immunizations that may need to be done in advance. Check with your doctor to see if there are medications or extra precautions that you should take. For example, people who have heart failure may need to take shorter flights with more stops to avoid long periods of sitting or they may need to adjust their medications.

Before you go, research local sanitation and other conditions so that you can take appropriate measures while you are traveling:

- Is the water safe to drink?

- Do insects, such as mosquitoes or ticks, carry disease?

- Is there air pollution?

- Will the altitude make you sick?

- Is it safe to swim in pools, lakes, or the ocean?

- Could you get heat exhaustion, sun stroke, or sunburn?

Basic precautions, such as drinking bottled water or using insect repellent, can prevent some illnesses, ranging from an inconvenient bout of diarrhea to life-threatening malaria.

Preparing for a journey takes planning and time. Proper planning is the best way to stay healthy during your trip. See a doctor at least 6 weeks before you go so that you’ll have time for immunizations and other health precautions you may need to take in advance. There are several factors to consider in preparing for a trip.

Enjoy your trip.

Ever since man has moved from place to place and took his belongings with him some sort of luggage was used. It was used to keep all belongings together and even organized. Like everything luggage has evolved.

Christopher Columbus likely had a trunk filled with clothing and necessary navigational tools such as maps. Trunks were often made of fine woods like oak, pine, or cedar. Others are made of a combination of materials including cloth and leather. Trunks were often ornately decorated with nails and brass clasps with locks. Families have passed them down through generations and have become family heirlooms.Luggage was and is made of a variety of materials. The hides of animals such as deer, horse, and even cow were used and were very popular. Come to think of it, Leather is still a popular material used in the making of luggage. They were meant to last a long time.

Since trunks were often large and cumbersome smaller bags were made such as the carpet bags. We now have suitcases, tote bags, and backpacks. We have luggage with wheels, luggage that expands, luggage that is soft and able to be put in tight spaces, and hard luggage that protects your belongings and will survive the very rough handling of baggage handlers.

Luggage now comes with wheels. Telescoping handles and leather pull straps are used. They come with places for bottles of water, CD players, and lunch pouches. They are laptop computer compatible and are more durable than ever before.

At the east end of the garden there is a large memorial built in memory of those who died here.Later this afternoon, visit the Wagha Border – the international border between India and Pakistan where the pomp and pageantry of the Beating Retreat & Change of Guard ceremonies make for a most charming spectacle.

Hawaii holidays wouldn’t be complete without visiting these five restaurants. Hawaii might be better known for its beaches and surfing, but how could a place so fabulously lush, so close to the bounty of the ocean, be without top ranked cuisine?

• Morio’s Sushi Bistro. This small, not terribly pricey sushi bar on South King Street in Oahu gets raves for the freshest sushi and sashimi. They just don’t serve sushi, but vegetable tempura, fried flounder and fried rice balls. Reservations made considerably ahead are a must, since the place has only fourteen seats and is wildly popular. The traveler should bring their own bottle of sake and make sure they share it with the chef!

• Wailuku, on Maui, is surrounded by such beauty, including the Iao Valley State Park, that a tourist might not want to sit down even for a minute to eat. But before that hiking or snorkeling excursion, they should try A Saigon Cafe on Main Street, which specializes in Korean and Vietnamese fare. Among the favorites are the duck soup, the clams and the clay pot dishes of fish and chicken.

• Wahiawa is almost in the center of Oahu and if the traveler’s had their fill of sushi and traditional Hawaiian fare and long for something continental, there’s Maui Mike’s Fire Roasted Chicken, a barbecue joint on Kamehameha Highway. They not only sell traditional “American food,” but they’re down right cheap, casual and good for the whole family. People come a long way for the rotisserie roasted chicken. It’s not only fall-off-the-bone tender, but is served with a number of sauces.

• A few miles north of Honolulu is Dean’s Drive-In in Kaneohe, on Kamehameha Highway. It’s an old fashioned drive-in but the resemblance to the usual fast food places end there. Favorites are the tender teri beef steaks and ahi cakes. There’s even a teri cheeseburger.

• Island Taco on Waimea on the island of Hawaii serves Mexican food. and to read the reviews they get it right. But it’s Mexican food with a distinctly Hawaiian twist. Imagine mahi mahi tacos! More, the tacos are huge and at around $6 or $7 a little expensive. But the place is casual and good for kids and groups of friends. There’s even outdoor seating and take-out.

These are some must-visit restaurants to make anyone’s Hawaii holidays complete.

There are many places on Earth that you can spend your time and money, and all of them are vying for your attention. However, there is one city that should be on the top of the list of places to visit before you die, and that city is Marmaris.

Marmaris is a small city in the southwest corner of Turkey, sitting on the Mediterranean Sea. It has an amazing history that dates back 8,000 years, as well as beauty that will leave you breathless. When you are choosing where to holiday, you need to give this city a thought.

One reason is the history.

This region of Turkey has seen some great men go through it in history, including one known as Alexander the Great, a man who Julius Caesar idolized growing up. As well, it has been a major vantage point for the Ottoman Empire from the 16th to 20th centuries.

If you are a history buff, then you can’t go wrong with visiting a place that has 80 centuries of history to look at.

One of the best places to see during your holiday in Marmaris is the castle. This castle has stood, been built and rebuilt, over the course of thousands of years and has served as a garrison for Alexander’s armies, as well as Knights of St. John during their fight against the Ottoman Empire.

This city is a great place to spend your holiday if you are a history buff. The sheer volume of history here means that you are going to need to keep coming back each year, just so you can see it all.

Think about it, how do you cram 8,000 years of history in a week-long vacation? You can’t, so if you really want to see everything this city has to offer in terms of history, then you are going to need to keep coming back on a regular basis to see the mosques, castles, historical structures and museums, just to understand how vast and important the role this place played in human history.

A wonderful place for a historical holiday.
